Work Experience

Unfortunately, Questacon is unable to place work experience students at the moment.

Placements

We aim to provide challenging, exciting and productive placements for students to provide a quality work experience in a museum / science centre environment.

We offer placements in a wide range of functions specialising or in a number of areas to provide as broader experience.

These include:

Retail
Customer Service
Science exhibit concepts
Educational programs
Explaining exhibits to our visitors
Wood and metal workshops

Accounting and business services
Human Resources
Information Services
Facilities Management
Administration

Normally, students will be placed for a period of one week working Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. However, we can also support students wishing to spread this time allocation over a number of weeks.

We are happy to accept students with special needs providing any necessary support is available and the student is suitable for the particular work area.
